Maple cake

Maple flavored cake with walnuts sprinkled on top

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a cake pan or line it with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until you have a smooth batter. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar or drizzle it with more maple syrup for extra sweetness.

Maple Chicken

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place the chicken legs in a baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the maple glaze mixture evenly over the chicken legs, making sure they're well coated.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is golden brown, basting with the glaze halfway through cooking. Once done, remove from the oven and let the chicken legs rest for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh herbs before serving.

Maple Oatmeal

In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
Stir in the rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat to low and let the oats simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the oats are cooked and have reached your desired consistency, remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the maple syrup until well combined. Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl and add your favorite toppings, such as chopped nuts, dried fruits, or a sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy your warm and comforting maple oatmeal! Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup according to your taste.
